Adidas and Birkenstock are two of the biggest names in the shoe industry. Adidas is famous for its sporty trainers, while Birkenstock is known for its sandals that have cork and rubber foot beds. By the 1960’s, the company had conquered the US market. While in Germany they are predominately worn as house slippers, in the US and UK they are fashionable shoes that are worn in the warm summer months.

You can see Derrick shooting hoops in basketball, Beckham playing football and Katy Perry dancing and this advert will appeal to a range of ages, sexes and races.
As well as Adidas’ current campaign featuring numerous celebrities tempting you into buying their shoes, Adidas has also used N-Dubz, Method Man, Noel Gallagher, Missy Elliott and Daft Punk to promote their shoes. Not to be outdone, Birkenstock is well known for having Heidi Klum on their books as a designer for the company and the former super model can often be spotted with her favourite pair of Birkenstocks on. Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow and Gulf War General Norman Schwarzkopf are also fans of the comfortable footwear.
